Have you seen the new "Torchwood" trailer? No? Then look no further because it's right here:
Judging by the odd look of concentration on his face, is anyone else afraid to ask what Captain Jack's doing around the 34 second mark? C'mon, Jack, the world's ending again. There'll be time for that later!
I need to get netflix . I have seen exactly ONE Torchwood episode. I would get them that...other way.. but I need captioning- my hearing is crappy and those people over there in the ancestral homeland talk funny ( well, not Captain Jack so much).
ReplyDeleteword verification " nogly". Lovely fake word, that.
Swooning while also tapping my foot in impatience!
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's probably the Sycorax. If I happen to be right, sorry about the spoilers.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I still never got into Torchwood. I don't know why...
I'm generally not crazy about plots with kids, but at least they look like creepy, mind-controlled/possessed kids. And Jack, Ianto and Gwen all appear to be in fine form, so I'll definitely be tuning in. Shame that it's only one extended miniseries, rather than a full season. That decision, along with the Who hiatus, has definitely created a Brit Sci-Fi deficit on my TiVo!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this, but I know I'll really miss Owen and Tosh. :(
ReplyDeleteIs it me or does it look like Cpt. Jack and Ianto are kissing at about the 55-56 second mark?
ReplyDeleteThat said, I stopped watching Torchwood after Gwen and Owen hooked up midway through season 1. I'm still curious to know how Owen died, though, so maybe I need to go back to the show...
setagel, I would suggest you catch up via DVD or repeats. The show really handled the whole "Owen Situation" quite well. Dramatic, darkly funny and a bit of a twist on the genre conventions/expectations. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteJust finished a Torchwood Marathon, seasons 1 and 2.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to CoE - Rumours about that Jacks daughter is in this one?
Word verification - sogily. hmm.
