'Californication' star in rehab for sex addiction

Poor David. It's good that he's getting help yet I can't help but feel this is something of a loss for the ladies of the world, like finding out there's a roller coaster on the moon...and immediately finding out it's being closed. It's not like we would have had a chance to ride it, but it was nice to know, just for a moment, that tickets were available.

How odd that his personal travails follow the plot of his fictional character (that would be "Hank Moody," since I doubt anyone has discovered an actual alien conspiracy or a flukeman).

Liz, your disappointment and lunar roller coaster analogy cracks me up. Of course, if Tea Leoni needs any comforting, I'd be first in line to volunteer.

I'm disappointed, but not for the reasons one would think:

Years ago I worked on a project with an actress who was really, really flaky, and who really creeped me out. She was the exact kind of overly-friendly that always sets my teeth on edge, and I just decided I didn't like her. She also made a lot of wild outrageous claims about a lot of different things, and I would just inwardly roll my eyes and laugh to myself later. One of those claims was that, when she lived in LA, that David Duchovny had tried to pick her up and proposition her; it was at a time when I knew that he was soon to be heading to New York to marry Tea. I chalked that up to another one of her wild stories.

So this news is disappointing because that means there's a chance that that actress was right after all, and I REALLY didn't want her to be right about anything.

Shan, you are a true gentleman. I'm sure Tea appreciates your concern. :)

Anonymous, wow, I feel your pain. I always, always hate it when people I don't like turn out to be right about stuff. (Of course, she still could have been making it up and just got lucky with this revelation. Hold onto hope!)

that's the greatest simile I have ever heard.

I agree with this completely.

He should have hidden that damned red shoe diary better! I'm sure Stella the dog could tell tales... (I'm probably dating myself way too much with that reference)

As much as I love Fox Mulder, I feel too bad for Tea to be too snarky. I hope this doesn't overshadow the press for her new movie. She's such a great, quirky actress, her career doesn't deserve it (nor does she personally, I'm sure).

Huh, that p0rn addiction that Mulder had isn't so very surprising anymore...

Funny, funny, funny. Laughed out loud and had to read it to my girls. Now they're laughing:>)
Remember when he was on Sex and the City as Carrie's high school boyfriend??--was going to the funny farm in that one, too. Coincidence??
