And the nominees are...totally up to you.

It's that time again! Let me know who you'd like to see take this month's Nerd Man honors. And remember, men have killed for this honor (not really) because of its enormous cash value (that's kind of a lie) and ability to sway an entire career (that's totally untrue) so please weigh your nominations carefully. (You can just throw out any name you want, really.)

And speaking of dreamy boys, don't forget that Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible debuts this week with Part I going up on his site tomorrow, Part II on the 17th and Part III on the 19th. Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris together in one place? It's too much for this girl to handle....

Neil Patrick Harris!

Adam Savage has been making the nominee list on his own, but hasn't won yet - so how about a joint nomination for the Mythbusters, Adam AND Jamie?

Steve Carrell. He's not quite as dreamy as some of the other candidates, but he's made a career out of movies where Nerd Man Makes Good.

His most recent, Get Smart, is a fantastic film, and a great example of the heights Steve shows us Nerd Men can achieve.

I would like to nominate Neil Gaiman although both suggestions so far, in my humble opinion, are first class. Neil may have to wait...

NPH!

Yet again, I nominate Richard Ayoade, who studied law at Cambridge and went on to play uber-nerd Maurice Moss on The IT Crowd.

I am going to say Ira Glass again. But I do love Newsies- I have to give points to Christian Bale because he can sing, dance, act, and look pretty.

Oh, and now he's a talented director of music videos!

Normally I'm always on for Eddie Izzard, but after watching two seasons of How I Met Your Mother in the past two weeks, I'm going to second Neil Patrick Harris.

I second NPH, and I also nom Colin Ferguson as Eureka comes back for season three this month.

Since one man has already had the honor, I second the Neil Patrick Harris nomination.

I realize I'm already way out-numbered... but can I throw in Hugh Laurie of "House" (not to mention Stuart Little's dad...) - a brilliant Brit (Cambridge educated, who somehow loses the accent completely as House), hysterical since Black Adder days, a published author (#2 out this Sept.!), sings, plays piano, plays guitar in a cover band called "Banned from TV" - if the NPH clamor is too strong, please reconsider for September when his next book comes out...

I enjoy that that Barney's crew all threw in their 50 cents for NPH. Thanks Lilly, Marshall, Robin and Ted!

I am going to throw my 50 cents in for Neil Patrick Harris, but not just for Dr. Horrible. Oh no, I am also throwing him in for his new Old Spice Commercial, which has me rolling on the floor with belly laughs every time I see it. Also he does like broadway and shit, besides the Doogieness and made for TV movies. His only down side is the gayness, but I am crossing my fingers that him and Anderson Cooper will find each other and make the prettiest man-couple ever! And honestly, that's not much of a down side when you are as awesome as NPH!
