oh my god! Not so cuddly but super cute! Beyonce, not so much for the Wonder Woman...I wonder who though...Psyched for Watchman, saw a preview a while back, Fab-U-Lous!

Beyonce...*sigh*. A much better choice would be someone like Cote de Pablo (Ziva on NCIS). She's got the necessary balance of power and woman down, and gets how to hold her own as a woman in a male-dominated job.

The Obamas should seriously consider getting a Miniature Schnauzer for their White House dog. Almost everyone in our family has allergies/ asthma, and our Mini (because she's a non-shedding dog) has never given anyone a problem. They're bigger and less yippy/ hysterical than other terriers and small breeds, and they're also very friendly and good with kids.

Minis are also smart, stubborn, and will try to be "top dog" at every opportunity. If Obama can handle the demands of a pushy Schnauzer, the challenges of the presidency will seem a breeze by comparison. ; )

Everything I've seen about the new Watchmen movie looks spot on, and those posters are fantastic. And the video journals they put up are also great: http://rss.warnerbros.com/watchmen/

Beyonce? Please. Trey, I'm a recent convert to NCIS, and your suggestion for Cote de Pablo for WW is an inspired one. I like it.

I think Beyonce started those rumors about Beyonce playing Wonder Woman. I just read an interview with her where she was like, "You know who I'd like to play? Wonder Woman. That would be some fierce casting!"

Also, she has this alter ego now called Sasha Fierce. This delights me.

Cannot wait for Watchmen. I just re-read it in preparation for the film. I see more in it every time I read it. I am not sure how they will ever translate the complexity of the book into film, but I read somewhere that Kevin Smith saw a copy and loved it and he is the uber-geek.

Puppies! I love puppies! Stop me before I adopt again!

I think Bones (Emily Deschanel) should be wonder woman. There's my vote.

Hungry Engineer, that's a good idea. She already has the costume, right? :)

I've pretty much written off Wonder Woman ever since the studio ditched Joss. I'm afraid they're just looking to cash in on yet another comic book hero and don't really care about the story, character, etc.* The fact that they're considering Beyonce (ie. big star to bring in the $$$) just confirms my suspicions. And that interview was just silly. What prompted her interest in the role? The complex story? The depth of the character? Nope! The costume that will show off her sexy curves. Nice motivation. I'd be happy to be proven wrong but I don't have high hopes for this movie.

Watchmen, on the other hand, has blown my mind ever since I saw the first trailer months ago. I've read the novel and my only concern is that the film will not live up to the depth and complexity of the print version. But so far it looks breathtaking!

If Jack McCoy were on the cabinet, it would totally get me believing in America again. I'm almost there, people!

Hell, I think I should start a write-in campaign for Sam Waterston in '12. (or '16?) I have this weakness where I believe pretty much anything the man says, even if it's about robots. Fred Thompson made it pretty far, after all, and he's insane.

I used to roll my eyes at Moore's bitching about every movie they made of one of his comics, but then I remembered that Constantine was one of his characters, too. That made me feel kind of bad for the guy. (I admit the movie was kind of fun to watch, if you lack/set aside any knowledge of the original character.) Hopefully this one will be good. It's got Dadchester (read: Jeffery Dean Morgan) in it, so you know I'll give it a try. (And I have to agree that the trailers look spot-on)

The hungryengineer: You're only saying that because of the one Halloween episode, aren't you? (Well, I don't disagree)

Isn't there an animated Wonder Woman movie coming out featuring the voice of our Nathan Fillion? Honestly that's the one I'm more looking forward to.

I second your "Really?" of Beyonce. She seems like a capable actress, but not to the extent that she'd be a good Wonder Woman.

Awesome headline aside, Xolos really freak me out. (Are Peruvian Hairless a separate breed from Xolos?) I visited a museum in Mexico City that had a huge pack of Xolos living on the front lawn, and it literally took me a good 2 minutes to distinguish the real dogs from the statues of the dogs.

Oh, seriously, no-one can be compared to Gina Torres as Wonder Woman. She would be an absolute dream...if they can make this thing before she's 60!

For the folks who mentioned it - yes, I'm remembering Bones as Wonder Woman for Halloween. But c'mon, she totally kicks ass - **and** she's smart - that's who should be Wonder Woman.
