Competitors include Mount Everest, the Grand Canyon and Loch Ness. Personally, I vote for Loch Ness not just because I had a weird old guy serenade me with a harmonica on the side of the road by the Loch but also because the Nessie 2000 Experience was the greatest rip-off museum ever -- who else would invite you in to disprove their meal ticket and then deposit you in a gift shop after bursting your bubble? Top that, Grand Canyon!+ This is pretty cool, despite initially looking like the opening credits of a Saturday night Sci-Fi Channel movie -- a 3-D fly-through of a supernova. This is not an artist's rendering, but instead is derived from "visualized data" gathered by Chandra X-Ray Observatory and the Spitzer Space Telescope. (I kind of wanted to make a prostitute joke right there, but I refrained.)
