Like recovering from Super Bowl weekend but with poorer eyesight...

So is everyone all Harry Potter-ed out? How many of you finished it in one day? How many finished it over the weekend? What did you think? Pleased? Saddened? Suffering from tired arms from holding the damn thing up? Do tell.

Housemate and I went to a midnight release party; she bought a copy, finished it by 5pm the next day, then I got it and finished it by 2pm the day after that.

Everybody is a little wiped out and depressed, but it's a satisfied kind of wiped out and depressed.

I have yet to get beyond chapter 16 because my copy is missing chapter 17. In its place are chapters 32 and 33. Talk about a spoiler near-miss. I am very displeased and still waiting for Amazon.ca to get back to me about replacing my order. Until then, I suppose I must continue to limit my internet use to be spoiler-free until the end!

I don't have the book, yet but I AM tired of avoiding all conversations and all e-mails that may have anything at all to do with Harry Potter!

I was on line Friday night and began reading Saturday morning about 9am. Read straight through till 5pm, then stopped to rejoin life with my friends. Started again on Sunday at about 10am, finished at noon.

Deathly Hallows was the best book yet. Elegant and touching. Smiles and tears. I'm sad it's all over.
